Since uploading yosemite 10.10.3 I am experiencing problems with the power on button

Mac book pro (Retina late 2012), Intel 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5.

Since uploading Yosemite 10.3.3 my laptop does not respond normally to pressing the power button, it sometimes needs pushing many times and on occasions it seems to shut down before it starts, always showing the apple logo first.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
