AirDrop between Mac Pro and Iphone 6 not working

Dear Team,


I have been using Mac Pro since Late Dec 2012. My version of Mac is Mac book Pro (13 Inch, late 2011) with Yosemite 10.10.3 version. I have recently bought iphone 6 ios (8.3).My Mac is not providing me an option for "Allow me to be discovered by". I have searched all my setting, I could see any option.


Please help me and suggest.

In order to transfer files between a Mac and and an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  • your iOS device needs to include a lightning connector
  • your iOS device needs iOS 7 or later installed
  • your Mac needs to be a 2012 or later model with OS X Yosemite installed
  • Your Mac and iOS device both need bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on. You do not have to be connected to a specific Wi-Fi network.
