insufficient storage

Hi,

I purchased a MacBook Pro through company's invoice. Sadly, I didn't realize that it was a 128 GB SSD. Do blame me for being careless but is there any solution for me to get bigger storage?

Problems:

1. I still need some application from windows such as Ms Project since I bought the software. Running a VM or Parallel Desktop uses lots of space.

2. I have tonnes of photos and videos

3. I sync everything in my phone to my mac

Options in my head is:

1. Get an portable external Hard Drive and install VM or other huge stuffs in it and whenever I need the apps, I just connect to my mac. But will it work?

Some advice does help.

Thank you in advance 🙂

Hi Adlylkhwan,

When did you purchase the MacBook? Apple offer a 14 day no questions asked returns policy, so if you're within the 2 weeks you're in luck. 🙂

As for your storage, I believe you have hit the nail on the head with the External HDD.

Good luck!
