Greyed out instruments in Mainstage 3

How do I get access to all these instruments that have been greyed out?

MainStage, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Hi

You seem to have loaded a guitar Concert, which is set up for audio input from a real guitar. If you were expecting software instruments, you are looking at the wrong type of Concert.

The Patches are not "grayed out": you simply have to select them by, for example, clicking on one of them in the Patch List.

Is there a way to sample the sounds without the use of a real guitar? And will they activate as soon as a real guitar is recognized in the inputs? How exactly do I set up the guitar? I haven't been succesfull in my previous attempts to do it, and would I be able to use these sounds along with regular keyboard sounds?
