iCloud sign in greyed out on iPad

Cannot sign in to iCloud as the sign in feature is greyed out. Restrictions are off, I have performed a reset and have powered off completely but it is still greyed out. I am using an iPad 4 running iOS 8.3. I has a capacity of 26.7 GB and 6.1 GB is still available. Any suggestions? Many thanks Mick

Give this a shot - it worked for me;


Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts & Calendars -> Add Account

Then choose iCloud, enter your details and add account.


This magically adds your iCloud account to you iPad!!
