IP address not changing when connected to working VPN

Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to OS X Server, coming from Ubuntu Server with OpenVPN. I have a lot of Apple devices, so I thought I'd look into OS X Server.

Everything is working and it went a lot easier than I imagened 🙂

Except for one thing; the iPhone that is connected to my VPN (using L2TP) isn't getting the external IP-address that I have at home (where my server is). When I check the external IP-address on my iPhone it still has the one my ISP gave me.

When I had OpenVPN running on Ubuntu Server it worked as I wanted and I did get the external IP-address from my home.

Is there some configuration I forgot to setup? Or is this simply not possible with L2TP and should I look into setting up OpenVPN?

Mac Pro, OS X Server
