May 3, 2015 1:14 PM in response to jc_temucoby Ralph Landry1,Feedback is the way to go. Keep in mind iCloudis only a couple years old, and they recently changed the storage/payment arrangements, and Family Sharing is new in its present form. All of which means there is room for improvement. Apple is usually pretty good at accepting users' needs and making adjustments.

Apple TVHave you considered it might be you that it is you that hasn't thought it through.
I for one wouldn't want to share my storage with anyone else, it would be absolute chaos with others being able to open or delete your documents, photos and whatever else. No thanks.

Oct 16, 2015 7:18 PM in response to Winston Churchillby Matt Number 8,Very classy, making a dig at individual you don't even know and missing the complete point of my comment.
The premise of my comment is that while Apple provides the option to share documents, files etc through family sharing (some people may really value this, just because you don't doesn't give you the right to criticise others), then why is the actual storage space allocation not shared too. As a family we wanted the package for sharing the storage space not necessarily the documents but seems that space needs to be brought individually.

Apple TVAnd therein is the point, there are already adequate mechanisms for sharing documents and data, very few people if any would want to HAVE TO share everything, and it's not just about seeing each others documents, what happens when you reach your maximum usage, who's documents get removed to make room for yours.
The only advantage to your suggestion is to avoid the charges involved.

Oct 16, 2015 11:32 PM in response to Winston Churchillby Matt Number 8,I agree there are many other mechanisms to share documents etc. However Apple have also built that capability as part of family sharing which also enables sharing of songs brought from iTunes etc to 'save money' within the family so everyone can also enjoy. The point of this discussion is asking Apple why out of all the things that can be shared within the family including those items brought, can storage space not be shared too.

Apple TVI don't think you get it, Apple isn't against you sharing stuff, it makes almost all of it's money out of selling hardware, not cloud space, it's because the notion of sharing space just isn't practical. I'm not having a go at you, just pointing out you haven't thought about the other side of things. I'm not saying it couldn't possibly be done, but it would be real messy.
