May 3, 2015 4:51 AM in response to arianazeby fjwhiston,Hi, there are a number roof things you could do. It's basically about freeing up some space.
What version of iOS are you using? if you're on the latest 8.3, you can activate iCloud Photo Library for your Photos, and check the 'Optimise iPhone Storage' option.
Alternatively, you could delete some of the apps that you no longer use. Once deleted, they free up space, but are available for download again at a later time without further charge, because you already own them. You go into the App Store, select Updates, and then at the top of the screen, go to Purchased > My Purchases > Not on This iPhone, and then you can see what you've deleted.
Another option, is to uncheck music you no longer listen to on iTunes. Again, you can download it again in the future if you wish, as long as you don;t delete it from iTunes.
The other thing I would suggest, is when you upgrade your phone, go for one with a bigger capacity, :-)

May 3, 2015 5:18 AM in response to arianazeby fjwhiston,Forgive me - I just re-read your original post, and was reminded that you're on iOS6. Deleting apps is the best way to go in my opinion. As I said, you can re-download them again at a later date. Once you've freed up some space, back up your old phone to iTunes on your computer (and encrypt it), and back up to iCloud on your phone. Then, when you're setting up your new iPhone 6, set it up from your iCloud back up. You won;t have the apps that you've deleted, but again, you can re-download them. Doesn't matter how many apps you delete, but one or two big ones will probably be enough.

May 4, 2015 8:50 AM in response to arianazeby fjwhiston,I can't remember exactly how iOS6 worked now, but it's likely to be similar to iOS8 in that you can see what you're using through Settings. If you go to Settings > General > Usage, you should then be able to see something like Used, Available and Manage Storage. It may not be worded exactly like that. OS6 was a long time ago now. However, if you look in there, you'll see what Apps and media are using up your available space. That will give yo an indication of what you can delete. Hope this helps.
