email address associated to my ID - how do I remove it?

Hello:

I have a long established apple ID, my wife would like to create one. Her email address has been associated to my apple ID, how do I remove this so that she can create her own account?

Looking forward to any pointers.

Hi 11kilo,

You can change the email address associated with your Apple ID using the instructions in this article -

Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

Note that a primary Apple ID email ending in @mac.com @me.com or @icloud.com can not be changed.

This is for changing the primary address. To change one of the other addresses such as rescue email or alternate email addresses, use the steps in this article -
