I'm consolidating all my Apple products and registering them all with Apple. When looking to register my AirPort, it asks for the purchase date - which I have forgotten. How do I overcome this? Thanks.
If you don't have a copy of the sales receipt, a good guess will probably work just fine.
Otherwise, you can contact the seller and ask for a copy of the sales receipt.
If you used a credit card, it will be a simple matter to log onto your account and look up the transaction date from the store from which you purchased.
Thanks Bob - I considered these things. I now live in Australia - new Credit Card, old accounts cancelled etc. Proximity is a challenge. Phoning the sellers with the Serial Number of the AirPort reaped no result.
Did guess the date - no result there.
Apple Support were, well, not helpful.
If you can provide the model number of the device, we can give you a date when it was introduced and, if it is not a current model, when it was discontinued.
That is all that we can do.
