DVD won't play on SuperDrive?

Hello, I just recently bought a superdrive for my 2013 Macbook Air (Yosemite) and I've been using it for burning CD's, but when I put a DVD in (brand new), it shows up on my desktop, but just gives me a bunch of audio files and won't allow me to play it. Is it because I don't have the DVD Player application? 'Cause my Mac won't let me download it. Any suggestions? Thanks xx

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Hi krissoileau1,

Which DVD Application is it you are trying to download and install? Your Mac should come pre-installed with the DVD App.

Take a look at the following article of the Top 5 Free DVD Player Software for Mac, you should find a few alternatives if you can't download the one you want - http://www.iskysoft.com/create-dvd/top-dvd-player.html

Good luck 🙂
