May 2, 2015 4:03 PM in response to lmm1845by RHIT2002,I also have a 6 plus and just once so far, my watch would not reconnect. I couldn't even manually pair it. The BT pairing said to make sure my device was in range. I did a bit of searching and saw somewhere to reboot the phone. I did that and not only did it pair automatically when it came back on, my watch has automatically paired every time I have come back home after leaving my phone or watch at home.
Big relief, as that was my number one beef with the Pebble. I had to manually pair it most days.

There should be an app for this on the app page.
I have an iPhone 6.
Poor documentation.

Jul 17, 2015 6:09 PM in response to lmm1845by BadPirate,From Apple - About Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on Apple Watch - Apple Support
At the bottom it has connection troubleshooting information. The method that nobody here has mentioned trying is unpairing and re-pairing the apple watch.

Dec 2, 2015 4:42 PM in response to lmm1845by PatrickL,I am having a similar issue. The little blue lock icon is displayed on my watch. I unlock my phone, but my watch doesn't unlock. When I launch the Apple Watch app, it says the phone is paired. However, in Settings > Bluetooth on my phone, my watch is disconnected. When I try to connect, it says to use the Apple Watch app. As I said, the app shows the watch as paired to my phone. It's a virtual Ouroboros.
Restarting the watch seems to be the only solution. This solution is performed about twice weekly, and is getting old real fast. I just read a survey in which 35% of Apple Watch owners reported throwing their watch into a drawer and forgetting about it. If this becomes SOP, I'm about to add to that percentage. It worked so well for the first few months, but has now devolved into a useless wrist artifact.
I am running the latest versions of the software for each device.
