Email Verification will not work

I spent 15 bucks to get a new account on my iPod 5 so I wouldn't have to use a credit card and it was working fine up until the last step which was to verify with an email so I went to my mail but that won't work unless I verify with an email! It's a paradox!!! So now what do I do?
