Logic Pro X: Duplicate track issues

I'm trying to duplicate a track with exact channel strip settings. However, when I edit that track I also edit the track that I copied from. It even ends up muting/soloing both tracks. This issue seems to only pop up in one file. I tried doing the same thing to another file and it worked fine.
