Iphone 4 is won't turn on and I can't perform a hard reset because my home button is broken

Hi, I was using my iphone 4 yesterday and was doing fine. Then, I put it in my purse and a wee bit later when I checked my phone, it was already off. I've tried pressing the power button for a while but it still won't turn on. I've also tried charging it overnight and connecting it on my laptop but none of those are working. I've read other discussions here and found out about pressing the home and power button to perform a hard reset however my home button is broken and I've been using assistive touch. Is there any other way to perform a hard reset on my iphone 4 without using the home button?
