itunes automatically sync albums?

I have an iPhone 5s, and because of storage reasons, i'm a bit selective with the amount of music on my phone.

I only put music i really like from certain albums, but every time i sync my phone to iTunes, the albums automatically complete themselves and download the rest of the tracks onto my phone.

This is obviously troublesome because i have to go in and delete unwanted songs from my phone each time i connect it to my computer, which is quite often.

How can i prevent my phone from automatically re-downloading the album each time without having to delete the songs on iTunes?
