Photos: how can I export album to web pages?

In iPhoto it is possible to export your pictures to web pages. Since I run my own web server, I would like to publish my albums in this (simple) way, under my own control without needing Flickr, Picasa or any other external service. Has the Export to Web Pages functionality of iPhoto really silently disappeared with the introduction of Photos, I don't see this mentioned anywhere, or am I missing something?

For the moment I temporarily solved my problem exporting the original pictures and using a basic php script like easyphpalbum (only needs PHP and GD2+) on my server to display them. Luckily this script can also automatically pick up metadata (such as exif) from pictures so that descriptions and creation date can displayed. This is another thing one often struggles with, using external web album services. It is is nice to have all info contained in the meta-data of the pictures themselves independent of the content hosted at the web album provider.

No, you are not missing anything. Photos do not offer this option. iPhoto did have this option as it was mainly used for MobileMe photo gallery. MobileMe is long gone and it's been replaced by iCloud which simply doesn't offer this option: iCloud has it's own option to Share picutres with others via Shared Photo Streams.

I'm affreid, you need to look at some other 3rd party options...

iW00, thanks for your swift answer. Is it possible to share only specific albums via Shared Photo Stream (NOT all of them) and, more important, can non-apple/non-iCloud users also see this albums?
