How to retrieve voice memos on iPhone 5c that were neither saved nor deleted??

I recorded a voice memo on my iPhone 5c. I clicked done. I was never given the option to Save or Cancel, the voice memo just disappeared. How can I get it back?!?! It's very important! Thanks.
