streaming tv shows -MBP (mid 2014) constant buffering & pausing

While streaming tv shows on my MBP (mid 2014) it buffers, pauses every few seconds, causing audio/video to go out of sync. Sometimes rebooting will help for a bit, then it starts again. I have confirmed it isn't my internet as I can stream the same show on the same server at the same time with my iPad mini3 without issue.

This is a recent issue. I have been streaming tv shows and movies a lot since November without issue until about 2-3 weeks ago

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.
