Wifi disconnects when loading an HD video or downloading an app

My iPhone disconnects from wifi if a download an app or watch an he video. If I go to Settings > Wifi, it will just show the swirling icon. If I turn off wifi however, my iPhone will freeze for like 30 seconds then reboot. I tried the resetting network settings and also restoring. All helpappreciated
