how to delete an unlisted smtp server

I am using a new iPhone 6 running 8.3, which insists in using an smtp server which does not even appear in the smtp server list; this ghost smtp server was used two iPhones ago, and it somehow found its way onto the new iPhone.

I have seen the same question asked in several forums but never saw an answer to it.

I will appreciate any help regarding this.
