Upgrading RAM MacBook Pro (early 2011)

Hi,

I wonder if someone can help me!

I purchased my MacBook in 2011 (it is an early 2011 model), and 4 years later it is starting to become very slow.

I am thinking about upgrading the RAM to make it a bit quicker. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this, or if there is a specific model of memory card I should purchase?

Thanks!!

Before you upgrade the RAM, run Disk Utility to verify that the internal hard drive is healthy. After four years, it may be starting to fail. The excellent site mentioned in the previous post also has video guides to HD replacement. BTW it helps a lot if you have another computer or even an iPad handy so that you can have the video on as you do the procedure.
