Whenever I try to backup data from my iPhone 4s to my computer, my iTunes says, "iTunes could not backup the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected" even though it has always been connected and it was always charging in my computer during the attempted backups.
Any answers?

Yes, I was having the same problem within the last week. I solved it by using the information from the following link. Little bit of a faff, but worked well, and now I have no problem with my backups.
