Help! I updated to pages 5.5.3 on my desktop OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and now can't open files on my macbook air laptop OS X 10.9.5 because it is only capable of updating to pages 5.2.2. Can I un-update my desktop or what should I do?

Apple makes that exceeding difficult or impossible as with most things now.
I'd get rid of both Pages 5.2.2 and Pages 5.5.3.
Use Pages '09 which runs on everything and has 100+ extra features.

You will have to export them as iWork '09 or Word files to be able to open them in Pages 4.
