Hi guys, my contacts inexplicably disappeared when I plugged my iphone into my mac to charge it. I did some research on the internet and chose to try and restore the back up of the phone which was made in itunes the moment I plugged it into the mac. However, the button to do that is not activated . Can somebody help?

Hit the restore or update button. It will restore/update. If asked choose to use the backup.
Well that didn't work unfortunately. No change whatsoever still lost all the contacts. Now it's not giving me the opportunity for a manual back up (once again). I am now downloading the newer version 8.3 to see if by doing that it will allow me to try a manual back up again and therefore retrieve my contacts.
Where do you store your contacts?
You should be able to sync them from there.
