Mac keeps crashing post latest update / Photos

I have a crash report but had a few issues with the Mac since the upgrades to Photos and the like, the Mac is slower and I have worked through the verification on the hard drive after Disk Utility found errors.

However I keep having serious errors that cause a restart - I have a report now - any help? The Mac had a new hard drive around a year ago and then a new screen c. 9 months ago after a 'household' accident...

You have the wrong spec RAM installed for that Mac. You have PC3-10600 and you need PC3-12800

That is just what the serial number search brings up. It could be The Google is wrong, so check it out.

Return it for the correct RAM for your Mac if it turns out to be wrong. If you purchased from MemoryTen, here is what you need: http://config.memoryten.net/Configurator.aspx?mfr=Apple&mod=MacBook%2C+MacBook+P ro+and+MacBook+Air+Series&mac=MacBook+Pro+13inch+Intel+Core+i7+2.9GHZ+%28MD102LL %2FA%29

Only buy RAM from a company that guarantees compatiblility with Apple products, and use their memory finder to find by Mac model, not by memory spec.

You can test the RAM by replacing the original RAM or try Rember: http://www.kelleycomputing.net/rember/

However, the RAM may pass Rember as it is just the wrong specification.

If the RAM is not bad/incorrect, then you have another hardware problem. You'll need to take it to Apple Store or certified repair center to have it checked.

Some other options to try before taking it in:

How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Reinstall the OS in Recovery after first erasing the drive. Test before migrating back from your backup. When the startup assistant runs, don't create a user with the same name as you currently use. That will make it easier to migrate your old user data.
