itunes purchases not displaying

Hi,

I have a new iMac running OS X 10.9.5

When i log into my iTunes account my purchased songs are not there. Essentially, my library appears empty. How do i get to them?

I have 'authorised' my new Mac and i have no authorisation issues with other devices as i'm inside my device limit.
