Is it possible to put the edit panel for Photo 1.0 on the desktop?

I have about 2000 photos we took on a trip to Cuba last week. I have the Mac OS 10.10.3 update with Photo in place of iPhoto. Is there a way to put the edit panel in Photo 1.0 on the desktop so you don't have to open it separately for each individual photograph?
