Is the "Delete from My iphone" step required on my ipod?

I am trying to clear my ipod 5th generation (ios 8.3) in order to sell it but I am stuck on step two of the tutorial on how to do this, What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. I can sign out of icloud but can't find the "Delete from My iphone" button. Is this step required on my ipod as well? And if so, how do I find it?
