My friend cannot hear me when we FaceTime?

I am using an IPad mini with iOS 8.3...while using FaceTime I have found my contact is unable to hear me? I have checked mute buttons etc.. any trouble shooting ideas?

Hi Heath9,

Sorry to hear that you cannot be heard when making a FaceTime call. As far as what could be going on, it could be related to the microphone on your iPad. Take a look at the article below, I know it does not reference iPad but the troubleshooting steps are just as helpful.
