Problem with lightning hdmi adapter

I Just got a new lightning digital av adapter To connect my iphone 6 plus to my tv. Initially it was working great, then I received a phone call.. Since then nothing. The little blue bar comes up on the top of my iphone screen for a few seconds, then it goes away. If I try watching any video, it displays only on my phone screen. Tried connecting to my ipad mini, and it worked just fine. I'm sure there's a simple solution but I'm stumped. Help would be much appreciated.

Howdy rathanfromtx,

It may help to force close all open apps on your iPhone, then restart the device.

Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

If your adapter is still not functioning correctly, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.

Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.

Put your device in recovery mode.

When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
