Q: How do I change my phone number for my messenger app on my macbook pro?

My brother gave me his Macbook Pro but his iMessages are still connected. I signed out of his iCloud and signed into my own, but I need to know how to link my messages to the computer now. How do I do this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Howdy ShelbyLeigh,

You can remove his iMessage account and add your own in Messages' preferences.

In Messages select Messages > Preferences.
Click the Accounts button.
