Q: I have a very old iPad 2 running iOS 7 with the 30-pin Apple iPad Camera Connection kit. Will my old iPad 2 support reading SDXC cards? Is there a memory limit for SDXC support?

This article summarizes three iPad SD card reading accessories:

I know for a fact that iPad 2 did not support SDXC cards before the release of iOS 7.

And I haven't found proof anywhere that you can use SDXC cards with the 30-pin Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit on the iPad 2.

It's hard for me to believe that upgrading the OS suddenly gives the iPad 2 the ability to read SDXC cards, especially since it doesn't use the lightning port.

Can anyone with an iPad 2 confirm if their iPad can read SDXC cards? If so, what size SDXC did you use?

I'm looking to buy a 64gb or 128gb SDXC card, but I obviously don't want to buy anything that is incompatible with the iPad 2 and Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit.
