Sometimes I am scrolling on a web page in Chrome and then the page zooms in and I don't know how to zoom out. To fix it I just close the tab and then open up a new one again, but is there a way to zoom out when it zooms in?

Check System Preferences -> Mouse -> Smart zoom. I found that scrolling with my Magic Mouse I would occasionally double tap without meaning to, causing a puzzling smart zoom. :-)

Try command - minus sign.
Thank you! This has been driving me crazy. And it also explains why zooming out again using the command-minus didn't ever look quite right. Instead of going back to normal, it was staying zoomed in, and just showing smaller and smaller text and images.
