iphone 6 plus autofill settings are incorrect

I want to autofill my home address but it wants to autofill with my work address which is the second in my contact list. (Presume the default is the first which is my home address). I also can't resolve this by deleting my work address as when I choose edit, - , delete, it closes the contacts and takes me back to the home screen. Can anyone help please? Maybe I need to delete all my contact details completely and start again.
