Why do deleted emails reload?

That depends on your email type and provider. If you're leaving the email on the server, your phone can keep on re-downloading it.

NO thats is not True! I've had the same provider for years with the same email accounts and the same devices. I have not change any settings nor added or deleted accounts. This just started. I have 6 devices all of them are going crazy and are dowmloading deleted emails.

Again this is new with no changes to any setting or email account.

How old were these e-mails? I had a similar problem where mails from over three years ago suddenly re-appeared even though they were set to delete after one week.

Spent ages with Apple support on the phone trying to get to the bottom of this. They gave up in the end as they had no explanation.

Suddenly received e-mail from three years ago!
