This happened to me today too. I too am running 5.1.1 on an old iPod Touch and today when logging onto the Sirius XM app, I asked me to update the app, but then iTunes said I couldn't because I don't have a newer IOS. So I tried again to open Sirius XM but it keeps stating that I must upgrade. Round and round I go!
