Bluetooth Connectivity Delay Between Different Devices

MacBook Pro Retina 13", Early 2013, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB DDR3, OSX v10.10.2

I have an office at home and work where I have a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad at each location. I hook up my MacBook at which ever one I'm working at for that day. When going from one location to the next the bluetooth will not connect no matter what I try. (bluetooth off/on, devices off/on, etc.) Then after about 30 minutes it will miraculously connect and will connect immediately each subsequent time as long as I haven't connected to the other bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo. Any help would be appreciated.
