revert to previous OS

Is it possible to revert to a previous version of the Mac OS? Currently have 10.10.3 (with issues) and would like to revert to Mavericks or an earlier version of Yosemite. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

If you have a TimeMachine backup of the previous version and content you can: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18846?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US to revert.

Otherwise, you will have to erase the hard drive and reinstall the older Mac OS X version and then reinstall your applications. It would be easier to make a backup on an external drive of all applications and data so that could be used to restore your content.

If your MacBook Pro came with Mavericks, you can restart holding the Command+Option+R keys (restarts over the internet) then use Disk Utiltiy from the Utilities drop down menu to erase the hard drive, quit DU and use Install Mac OS X to reinstall the original version of Mac OS X.
