mail when icloud storage is full

Recently, after my 20 GB icloud plan expiring, I received an Itunes giftcard by mail.

Since I couldnt recieve any mail, I didnt get the gift card. So I was wondering whether there there is a way to still receive that mail so that I can redeem the gift?

On a side note, there 's also some other mails that I should have gotten in that one week of not being able to receive mail, is there any way I can get that too?

If whatever storage amount you have is full, mails will be bounced with an 'account over limit' error. You need to reduce the amount of data (or pay for more) to clear some space, but this will not enable you to retrieve emails which failed when the account was full.
