On a MacBook Air Yosemite 10.10.3
Cleaning up and removing photos, accomplished in Photos app, but the same ones remain in Preview?
Why is this and how can I delete them? The delete option under Edit in the panel is not dark (not available).
MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
To attempt to answer my own question here --- went to Help in Photos and entered delete photos
where it explains that photos are kept for up to 40 days before completely removed.
Is this correct as the reason in preview -- they will vanish on their own after that : correct?
We need an expert's opinion. 😕
where you see photos in Preview.app? can you post screenshot?
Not versed enough to remind it now. It is when one double clicks on a photo in MacMail and a little Preview window comes up to show it ........ (which has happened by accident to me)......and then those are stored someplace .........maybe one of the other 5 people who say they have this issue might be able to reply more intelligently about it?
More experienced now and find that in Preview>File> open recently (clear menu) is successful in deleting from Preview.
