iTouch 5th Gen. dead, will not charge

Hi. My 5th gen iTouch is just over 1 year old. Two weeks ago, I noticed that it would not charge. I tried a couple of different wires that work with my iPhone 6, but none worked. I tried to reset by pushing the power and center button, while I still had battery and it seemed to start the reset. I also tried to get on to the computer to download photos, but it would not work. The iTouch was not found which makes me think the connection inside the iTouch is bad. The battery died and it will not recharge. Help?
