I have a MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5, processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 & I was scanning pictures from my printer to my laptop last week when it prompted me to make a new library to add pics, which I did. Since then the only pictures showing in my iPhoto are the ones I scanned, I've lost over 14,000 photos. I am devastated, how do I recover them? 😟 😟 😟

Hard to say with so little information
How were you scanning the photos? How were you importing to iPhoto? What occurred just prior to this problem occurring? Any error messages?
The best solution is probably to restore your backup form just before this happened and import the scanned photos again

I really don't know. Not technical at all.
So I was scanning them from my HP all in one printer & it came up with some message about making a new library I just clicked yes & it went ahead scanning & saving into iPhoto.
Whatever happened has made over 14,000 pictures vanish & I've no idea where they would have gone 😟
