Q: problem with blue tooth since installing yosemite? No longer works and cannot reinstall. Help....

I have installed yosemite on my mid 2010 macbook pro. Since the installation, I no longer have access to blue tooth. I have tried to reinstall with no luck. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Eric since installing yosemite, bluetooth no longer is in my system preferences. The icon on my screen shows 'bluetooth not available' with no options for me.
