May 4, 2015 2:48 PM in response to rossellafromlondonby BonaHoTep1,Same here. I rebooted and the haptics came back. This is the second time this has happened to me and both times a reboot fixed it. Disappointing - hard to tell if this is a s/w or h/w problem, i also find the haptic to not be very noticeable and am wondering if i got a faulty unit.

May 5, 2015 12:20 AM in response to BonaHoTep1by rossellafromlondon,Hi BonaHoTep1
thank you for your reply. I will now address this with Apple as it is disappointing as you mention and it seems strange that we both had the same issue. -
May 6, 2015 6:31 AM in response to rossellafromlondonby d4,DDid you happen to get the watch wet? Ibe noticed after getting it wet that the speaker and haptic stop working or are muted until they dry out.
I Guess I'm also curious if I am the only one With this issue.

May 6, 2015 10:20 AM in response to BonaHoTep1by Nageth,I've had the same problem. Rebooting fixes it (the rebooting process is actually quite slow too). I'm hoping this isn't a hardware issue.

May 7, 2015 12:36 PM in response to rossellafromlondonby kdvino,I am having the same problem, and no, I did not get it wet. The haptic was working fine, and then today (one week after I received the watch), the haptic stopped working on Messages. I still received the light taps reminding me to stand up, and email messages seem to trigger a light tap (even though I had the setting on Prominent). I had the haptic set to Prominent for Messages, but it either did not trigger when I received a message or it did not trigger at the Prominent setting. I rebooted the watch (for those of you trying to figure out how to reboot, see Restart or reset your Apple Watch - Apple Support), and I rebooted my phone, and now it is working again.
However, given that others have experienced this problem and rebooting only seems to fix the problem for a little while, I am waiting to see if/when it happens again. The only other thing that I can think of is that I did not wear my watch for two days (left it on the charger). It was working fine before the two day hiatus. That shouldn't make a difference, but does it?????

May 9, 2015 6:59 AM in response to rossellafromlondonby MertK91,Same here. Haptic and Sound stop working. I dont think it's a hardware issue because it works if you restart watch. It must be something with the software.

May 15, 2015 10:49 AM in response to MertK91by JayMJay,Same issue. Stopped sound and haptic notifications after 48hours. Phone was locked, not in use, etc. Reset and turning off no help. Letting battery run down until dead worked at least once. Hopefully there is a fix, though this is an unseen advantage to the short battery life !

Jun 1, 2015 6:11 PM in response to rossellafromlondonby Imanu jaku,Same here, haptic worked great for about 5 days. Today I notice that I'm not getting messages, but when I checked the watch I see that I am, it's just haptic isn't working so I don't notice them come in. reboots, resets, nothing works

Jun 10, 2015 1:16 PM in response to rossellafromlondonby kdvino,So the haptic stopped working again today. This represents the second time that the haptic has stopped functioning. It's been been running fine for the last month, and then randomly, after wearing the watch for several hours, I noticed no prominent haptic notifications were coming through (and they were this morning). I rebooted the watch and rebooted the phone and it is working again...for now.
Apple, please stop this from happening!!!!!!

Jul 8, 2015 1:39 PM in response to deggieby muendler,Same problem. No sound, no haptic feedback every few days. Reset helps for a few 1-2 days. Any new solutions? New pairing not tested yet.
