Hello Tom, thanks for the help, but the problem is that they can not see the folder with the AVCHD footage, I can not select the choice of the individual clips, transcode whole recorded and then make the choice is a real problem. 😮
What does it look like in the Finder? Please post a screen shpt.

Hello Russ 🙂 I try to explain better ... FCPX before upgrading to version 10.2 allowed in "import media" opening AVCHD folder to the choice of individual clips, whereas now only shows a black screen ... I can not view contents

I wish to share my personal experience.
I import AVCHD video taken from my Panasonic Lumix GX7 and I can confirm that it works perfectly fine. There was no black frames as described.

Did you try to convert the media as described in the article? That specific media from Panasonic doesn't work in the current OS. It has to be converted.
I have on file folders that do not open as AVCHD clips can not be imported into Compressor
1. Make a new library in FCP.
2. Set the library properties to save media in an external folder, outside of the library.
3. Open the import window.
4. Import the clips saving them to the assigned location.
5. Go to the folder that has the media and open those clips in Compressor.
Tom, yes...I have tried it! only following the instructions of the article get the clip, but it is a long process for those who have much recorded material from having to choose... Can I hope for a future solution?

The same issue with Panasonic AG-AC 90 after updating to 10.2
I don't have Compressor, why should I must buy it if before updating to the newer version all was working fine?
By the way also my FCP sometimes doesn't show the "PRIVATE" folder in the importing options ( not always ) .
If I import directly from the media card choosing also to optimize the clips , the import is working randomly. Few clips are well imported, others are blank and few just audio and few without thunbnails (black).
As I'm working with fcp and not doing my "holiday's memories" I'm really disappointed.
I got around 430 clips par media card.
any suggestions?
Try using MPEG Streamclip, which is free, instead.
