Document created in 2011 in Pages.

I have a document created in 2011 in Pages. When trying to open it now I get the message "This document can't be opened because it's too old. To open it, save it with Pages '09 first." How on earth do I do that?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Kathy,

If you kept your Numbers updated then you would have been on '09. In order for you to get the message you got you must have been tryint to open an '08 file with Numbers 3. iWork '09 will run on Yosemite (it should be upgraded to 2.3).

If you migrated all your files from your old Mac it is possible that you have an iWork '09 folder in your Applications folder. That would make things simple.

You can have both '09 and 3 on your computer and even running at the same time. 3 will not open '08 files.
