Oct 26, 2015 2:57 AM in response to Prof Tournesolby jseitz67,I have the same issue with MacOS 10.11 and Mail 9. I see this issue with my business mail synced from gmail. However not all email are affected. Its more randomly, but makes it hard to use.
With my private mail from a 1&1 everything works fine.
Regards, Juergen

Oct 28, 2015 4:05 PM in response to jseitz67by cavaughan,Same thing for me has been driving me nuts for over a month now. Closing Mail seems to fix it for a short time, but then I have to keep closing and opening Mail.
BTW, this is all after upgrading to 10.11. I was on the beta for a while, but stopped after OSX was officially released.
Also another thing that's been rather consistent in Mail that drives me nuts is that whenever I tab to complete a group address, Mail will crash. I have to remember to use the right arrow key and then it's fine.
OSX 10.11.1, Mail 9.1 (3096.5)

Oct 30, 2015 3:52 AM in response to jseitz67by larigan13,Same here since the last update a couple of days ago. It only affects gmail but is seriously annoying. They heralded the update with mail improvements - sadly it was quite the reverse and i now have to go to the gmail web site to read my mail.

Nov 1, 2015 10:31 AM in response to MeghaJEZUSby ApMaX,Same problem here with Mail 8.2 (2104) in Mac OS X 10.10.5 (14F1021) Yosemite. Quitting and opening Mail does not fix it.
Update: Wow! Fixed just quitting all applications and resetting PRAM (Option Command P R while rebooting).

Nov 16, 2015 9:35 AM in response to MeghaJEZUSby mick2001,Same issue, it comes and it goes. I shut down Mail and restart it and maybe the next time the content will appear. I've done as suggested at the top of this thread and it worked, for a while, probably because I had restarted Mail to accomplish it. But it did not solve the underlying issue which has been under Yosemite and now El Capitan.
Edit-changed "intent" to "content", which is what I had typed, but self-correct decided to change to another word entirely.

Nov 24, 2015 11:09 AM in response to mick2001by stefacht,I'm experiencing the same problem on OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and Mail 9.1. I think it started after upgrading to El Capitan and even the latest Mail update didn't change anything.
When closing and opening Mail again, it's working for a while, but not long. I have to close and re-open Mail several times a day...
I've tried resetting PRAM yesterday, but that didn't help.

Nov 25, 2015 4:58 PM in response to stefachtby JavoJavo,I'm having the same issues. Mail body that was previously downloaded sometimes is not shown (only a blank space underneath the message header info).
Sometimes if a message doesn't show, I can go to another message and then back to the one that didn't show, and it will show correctly, or by double clicking the message and opening it in a new window.
I'm running El Capitan 10.11.1 and Mail 9.1 (3096.5). 2 mail accounts, both are Gmail and set up to use IMAP.
I suspect it is an application performance issue, since restarting the application seems to solve the problem temporarily (clearing memory/cache?), and thereafter the problems start occurring more and more frequently through the day eventually becoming almost unusable. Might be related to the fact that gmail accounts usually have very large mailboxes (i.e: all mail) and aren't used to deleting mails (such is my case) and sometimes have several labels/folders which seem to complicate the local mailbox size and structure.

Nov 30, 2015 6:26 AM in response to JavoJavoby abhaydubey,Me too. Experiencing the same problem.
Runnign OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.1
and
Mail Version 9.1 (3096.5)
To mail accounts - GMail using IMAP.
When starting the laptop the issue is not there but appears after a while.
Started most probably from the last OS update.

Dec 1, 2015 9:10 AM in response to MeghaJEZUSby JoelK52,Same thing just started happening to me today. If I close mail and then reopen it I can see the body of my emails again, but then after a little while my email bodies disappear. I've tried rebuilding my mailbox, but it didn't solve the problem.
Edit: I'm using OS X 10.11.1 and Mail 9.1.

Dec 4, 2015 3:06 AM in response to MeghaJEZUSby cs22,Having the same issue, cannot find working solution. Currently just quitting Mail and then reloading. Have not figured a pattern to when I loose the functionality.
