Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I recently took a job and was given a used macbook air. I am signed into my own user name and app store ID. But it keeps telling me I need to update some apps, but they are the apps from the previous user. I can't do anything without his password...How do I get his apple ID off the computer ?!
The company needs to erase this Mac and reinstall the original version of OS X that came with the Mac. Then the company should create a company Apple ID which the company controls with which to set up this Mac. You should be careful of associating your personal Apple ID with a company owned Mac.
