An unexpected error occurred (error code -50)

Question

For some reason, I can't save to or create folders on an external drive. I'm keep getting:

The operation can't be completed.
An unexpected error occurred (error code -50)

Anyone know how to clear it?

Cannot locate the code. Sounds like a permissions error. Give us all details of Mac, OSX & external drive - ÇÇÇ
